IN THE latest management move at Applied Driving Techniques, David Brown joins ADT to head business development at the leading provider of fleet compliance and risk management solutions.

ADT  has appointed Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) board member Brown to generate new sales opportunities and manage key customer relationships as part of the company’s expansion plans both in the UK and internationally.

Andy Phillips, director of Applied Driving Techniques, said: “David is a hugely experienced and respected industry figure whose work with the ICFM is making a valued contribution to promoting and advancing the profession of car fleet management.

“His appointment will support our ongoing growth strategy and help further enhance ADT’s growing reputation as a leading risk management company within the fleet sector.”

Brown will work alongside ADT’s existing team to develop customer-and driver-focused solutions that cover all auditing and assessments, grey fleet management, licence and document checking and driver training requirements.

He will use more than 10 years of business development experience working in vehicle leasing and fleet finance sector to deliver a managed offering that combines individually-tailored analysis, risk reduction and education programmes.

Prior to joining ADT, Brown was new business development manager at Zenith Leasedrive where he was responsible for selling vehicle finance solutions and account management primarily in the public and third sectors.

Before this, he spent a number of years as key account manager at Inchcape Fleet Solutions (IFS), overseeing a client portfolio made up of around 10,000 fleet-managed and 5,500 funded assets. Brown already has experience in the fleet compliance and risk management sector having been responsible for selling ADT’s solutions in one of his previous roles.

Andy Phillips said: “Fleet operators are looking to improve road safety, achieve high levels of duty of care and protect their corporate reputation. This increasing demand has resulted in annual growth of over 70 per cent and a tripling of the workforce in the past two years, so we have brought David in to help us maintain this momentum.

“His considerable expertise will complement our existing team of longstanding human resources, risk management and training professionals.”

Talking about his new role, David Brown said: “Having already seen the benefits that ADT can deliver first-hand, I am excited about the prospects for the business.

“There are growing opportunities within the marketplace for the provision of managed fleet compliance and risk management solutions, so I am looking forward to using my experience to support future growth.”
