SUBARU has appointed Chris Graham as its new managing director as the four-wheel specialist brand pursues an independent career path without Isuzu.
As we reported in January, IM Group is to split the Subaru and Isuzu brands. It wants Subaru to be the fastest growing brand in the UK.
Paul Tunnicliffe, who was MD of Subaru and Isuzu, now becomes automotive development director for the IM Group business.
Chris Graham starts his new position on 12 February.
Chris joins Subaru having successfully led IM Group’s Citroen and DS Ireland business for two and a half years.
With 20 year’s experience in the IM Group, Chris said on his new appointment:
“I’m looking forward to working together with the Subaru team and network to push the brand forward in 2018 and bring Subaru to the forefront of the industry. My vision for Subaru – to become the fastest growing brand of 2018 – is bold, ambitious but most importantly it’s realistic”
“Subaru as a brand have historically been quietly confident in what our cars can do. This is the time to be proud of what our cars can offer to a range of customers, truly showing a Subaru is better where it matters”.
Subaru recently launched two new models, the all-new XV and the Impreza, both of which picked up the Best In Class accolade in the Small Family Car segment in Euro NCAP’s 2017 full year results.
