A new website lists the top-10 cars by lowest CO2 emissions.

A new website lists the top-10 cars by lowest CO2 emissions.

Cars are divided into those categories used by What Car? consumer magazine: family car, executive car, and so on.

The Act on CO2 website aims to promote the link between lower carbon exhaust emissions and lower cost motoring. The website also displays road tax payable.

“Cleaner cars can save businesses a lot of money, as well as helping the environment and creating a good external image. But choosing the right car can be quite confusing,” said Harvey Hughes, Manager – Corporate Operations, Honda.

“Anything that helps better inform both the general public and individual companies has to be a good idea.”

The website also lists the top 10 cars by emissions.

The list is dominated by superminis – mainly versions of the same car from Citroen, Peugeot and Toyota – but also includes larger hybrid vehicles, such as the Honda Civic Hybrid and Toyota Prius.
