CAP HPI’s data solution for WLTP will be rolled out in September following an August trial period.

The company says it has worked alongside vehicle manufacturers, importers and representative bodies to develop a flexible, industry-wide solution.

The data will provide a ‘span’  of minimum and maximum values in the standard New Vehicle Data.

This will sit alongside full WLTP data for manufacturers that have sufficiently simplified vehicle options, and also offer a real-time API to support specific vehicle configurations for those manufacturers requiring it.

Beth Davies, Product Manager: ‘crucial industry-wide change’

Beth Davies, Product Manager at cap hpi, said:

“Our solution has been designed after consulting with our customers and all manufacturers. We believe this will meet consumer and business needs and our release plans will enable our customers to hit timelines.

“WLTP is a crucial industry-wide change, and we are working across the automotive supply chain to ensure we have a robust platform in place. We are building an agile solution that can meet the differing demands of manufacturers and data users.”

cap hpi said its solution would work across all different manufacturer platforms. However, it said not all data will be available immediately depending on OEM timescales.

Davies added: “The API technical specification and a test interface will be made available to cap hpi customers in September. The standard New Vehicle Data is continually being updated and will contain the data our customers need by 1st January 2019.

“We continue to make our experts available to advise at every step of this process, and we are creating a portal to allow customers to access the latest crucial information from us about the WLTP solution and its implementation.”
