THERE is a new chairman and chief executive officer at Bentley:  Wolfgang Durheimer.

Wolfgang Durheimer replaces Dr Wolfgang Schreiber, who moves to another senior position within the Volkswagen Group.

This is not the first time Wolfgang Durheimer has been the chairman and chief exec of Bentley. His first tenure was from February 2011 to June 2012 after which he was replaced by Dr Wolfgang Schreiber.

During his time away, Durheimer was responsible for all Volkswagen Group motorsport activity.

“I would like to thank Wolfgang Schreiber for his successful work with Bentley and Bugatti and the consistent further development of the two brands,” said Dr Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG.

New Bentley chairman Wolfgang Durheimer is 55 and holds a degree in engineering. His career includes BMW, Porsche, Bentley, Audi and the Volkswagen Group.
