BCA has opened the expanded Manchester remarketing centre with a series of sales featuring cars and light commercial vehicles following a 12-month construction programme.

A new 6.5-acre facility has been constructed adjacent to the existing 32-acre Manchester auction centre and will be a vital link in BCA’s nationwide remarketing network, serving corporate customers and the Northern powerhouse communities.

The expanded multi-purpose auction facilities at BCA Manchester remarketing centre now has five auction halls – Coniston, Lancaster and Windermere alongside the new Piccadilly and Victoria – and undercover viewing for around 1,000 vehicles.

The newly developed area features two back-to-back auction lanes, additional undercover viewing for up to 400 vehicles along with integrated Live Online support to broadcast all auctions in real-time to our online buying community.   The latest technology ensures that customers are fully connected and a new Refuel Cafeteria facility along with barista kiosk within the auction lanes caters for all their needs.

A large vehicle defleet and preparation facility, with self-contained digital imaging and video bays which utilise AutosOnShow technology ensure that the centre has increased ability to process vehicles of all types and prepare them to the highest standards

The new facility has given BCA Manchester the capacity to expand the regular sales programme to allow LCV sales twice weekly (Monday and Wednesday) along with increased capacity for the car sales on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

BCA’s MD UK remarketing, Stuart Pearson commented: “The newly expanded remarketing facilities at BCA Manchester provide an unrivalled environment to buy and sell cars and LCVs and we are building a comprehensive sales programme to meet the needs of the Northern powerhouse communities.”

He continued: “At nearly 40 acres and with five auction lanes, our plan is to be operating five days a week in Manchester.”

“Our centre delivers everything our customers need, including logistics support, de-fleet and storage, inspection, preparation and imagery facilities and an efficient and swift route to market that can handle huge volumes of vehicles.   With our expanding sales programme, it also means that we can provide even more choice and availability of stock for buyers to make the best use of their valuable time.”

He concluded “The ongoing investment and development of our remarketing network and services means BCA is ideally placed to ensure our customers maintain an advantage in this fast moving and competitive environment.”
