AUDI is now offering an in-car display of local filling stations and their fuel prices via the ‘Audi Connect’ system, a service that could be a real boon for cost-conscious business motorists.
Drivers of the new A3 and A3 Sportback will be the first to benefit, but it will be extended to most new Audi models during this year.

There is one catch, though – in order to access the new Fuel Prices service, company car buyers will need to spec their cars up with ‘Satellite Navigation plus’ and ‘Mobile Phone Preparation – High’. The most cost-effective way of getting those is by opting for the ‘Technology Pack High with Audi connect’ package at £1795.
Drivers will need to save a lot on fuel to recover that cost but many business motorists will be opting for sat nav and phone prep packages as essentials for their work anyway, of course.
Audi Connect is the collective name given to the company’s suite of connectivity services, which include access to features such as Google Maps, Google Street View, Audi traffic information online and Audi music stream, as well as social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter.
The Fuel Prices feature uses an online database to list the cheapest local filling stations in real time at the car’s existing location, the driver’s destination or any location of choice. The list can be sorted by price or distance. Any selected filling station can be set as a sat nav destination with a single click. One way to keep your pence per mile under control.
