Andrew Goodwin joins BT Fleet’s top team

  • Henry Brace – appointed MD in April
  • Andrew Goodwin – sales director
  • Cheryl Feely-Jones – account management director
  • Paul Browne – bid and governance director
  • Richard Guest – finance director
  • Ian Martin – strategy, transformation and marketing director.

GROWING BT Fleet, part of BT Group has called up Andrew Goodwin from Lex Autolease to be sales director in a new management structure for the growing company.

Tt has grown the number of vehicles it manages and maintains to 120,000, consistently delivered year-on-year double-digit growth and acquired new customers such as the Environment Agency, MJ Quinn and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Managing director Henry Brace, who moved into the position in April from his previous roles as chief operating officer and finance director, has revealed that Andrew Goodwin will be joining from Lex Autolease as sales director in the latest management move.

Goodwin was Lex Autolease business development director, heading up new business in the Mega Fleets team and brings over 20 years’ fleet management and leasing experience including a long tenure at Arval.

This announcement comes on top of further enhancements to Brace’s top team including Cheryl Feely-Jones becoming account management director looking after all existing customers, Paul Browne moving into the newly created bid and governance director role, Richard Guest taking over from Brace earlier this year as finance director and Ian Martin expanding his marketing responsibilities by becoming strategy, transformation and marketing director.

Feely-Jones, Browne, Guest and Martin have all been with BT Fleet for some years and these changes underpin BT Fleet’s ambitions to build on its reputation in the market as the UK’s leading fleet management provider in the operational fleet market.

Goodwin’s addition also supports BT Fleet’s plans to extend its offering to customers by providing funding solutions.

Brace said: “I am delighted with the achievements of our business in recent years and these changes complete the leadership team required to take on the growth opportunities available to us and ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional service for our strong portfolio of customers.

“Andrew Goodwin is an excellent addition to my team and joins a strong and extended leadership team that is set-up for our next phase of growth.”

BT Fleet has invested heavily of late – growing to 65 garages with three more planned in the coming months and a number already open 24/5, strengthening its HGV capability including doubling the number of ATF lanes, recruiting over 100 technicians and just under 50 apprentices.

It has also rolled out a huge system overhaul which is providing customers with fleet insight at their finger-tips in real-time, mobile apps and market-leading telematics and connected vehicle solutions through the EE network.

Brace added: “Earlier this year, BT Fleet moved into the Wholesale and Ventures division of BT and this entrepreneurial environment is allowing us to invest in our people, tools and infrastructure to ensure we are delivering for our customers today and developing innovative solutions that leverage BT’s mobile, physical and logistics capability and infrastructure for the fleet market.

“I look forward to working with my leadership team to take us to the next stage in our evolution.”
