DOWN under comes out up top as Andrew Doyle – currently md of Audi Australia – takes over as the new Audi brand director in the UK.

The new appointment commences in April 2017 when Audi UK’s current acting director Cian O’Brien takes over as md of Audi Australia in Sydney.

Andrew Doyle has led the Audi operation in Australia for the last four years, cementing continuous market growth and expanding the national Audi retail network. He is also a director of the company’s retail business, Audi Centre Sydney, and previously spent two years as director of Audi Ireland as part of his 24 years of broad-based senior experience in premium car brands. Andrew is 47, and an Australian citizen.

Doyle’s successor successor will be Cian O’Brien, 38, who will continue in his current role as acting brand director in the UK until March. Cian has been the UK head of sales for two years and has been responsible for the continued dramatic rise in UK sales and commensurate premium market share by bringing the fast-expanding Audi range to market.

Former Audi UK brand director, Andre Konsbruck, was recently appointed to vice president of sales – the Americas, working out of Audi’s Ingolstadt HQ.

More changes for Audi UK management team

Premium sector specialist Peter Brookes will be taking over Cian O’Brien’s role as head of sales from 01 November. Peter is new to Audi but comes from a premium sector background having enjoyed 18 years of high-end automotive brands, most recently as a founder shareholder in the prominent Knights Group which he created.

The third appointment  is Benjamin Braun, who is appointed head of marketing. Benjamin has experience in energy, banking, retail and insurance, most recently at insurance comparison specialist Comparethemarket.com, where he was associate director for digital and customer experience.

Commencing as head of marketing on 01 December, Benjamin succeeds Nick Ratcliffe who left in July to join JLR as director global marketing, sales & service – special operations.
