CONGRATULATIONS  to Alphabet who have won the ‘Car Scheme Provider of the Year’ award at the annual Workplace Savings & Benefits Awards.

Alphabet, a specialist in business mobility including contract hire, won the award for its Corporate CarSharing scheme, called AlphaCity.

The judges said that AlphaCity deserved the award for the 40% reduction in CO2 emissions and the fuel cost savings delivered through AlphaCity for the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England.

Multiple drivers from the RFU are provided with access to the AlphaCity cars through an electronic card system.

The keyless vehicles are available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by any of the registered card holders. AlphaCity means – simply by checking availability on line – staff of the RFU can drive a car on demand.

Drivers using the corporate car sharing scheme have secure keyless access to low emission and fuel saving BMW or MINI vehicles. All cars are equipped with mobile phone Bluetooth connectivity and built-in satellite navigation as standard. Other benefits include time and money management savings thanks to reduced administration.
