SEAT’s  new National Fleet and Business Sales Manager is Philip Allan.

Philip, 49, joins the Spanish Brand at the dawn of one of the most exciting periods in its history, with the latest iteration of the best-selling Ibiza supermini having just hit UK showrooms and a major offensive of new products – including the stunning Mii city car – just around the corner.

The father-of-two boasts a wealth of experience in the fleet industry having served as National Fleet Sales Manager at Nissan before moving to Renault UK where, as Head of Leasing, he oversaw significant growth in contract hire share.

Now, reporting directly to SEAT’s Head of Fleet, Steve Robertson, he will work to ensure the latest additions to the car maker’s line-up join the Leon hatchback, Exeo executive saloon and estate and acclaimed Alhambra MPV as firm fleet favourites.

Philip’s appointment fills the vacancy created in the SEAT fleet and business sales team since former National Fleet Sales Manager, Sally Dennis, moved to Mercedes-Benz.

With direct responsibility for a dedicated nine-strong Fleet and Business Sales team, Philip will also play a major role in SEAT’s mission to become a fleet manufacturer of choice, delivering on its commitment to improve the customer experience and build on the Brand’s recent record of growth in this important market segment.

Commenting on his appointment, Philip, a fluent French speaker and history graduate who cycled overland to India as an adventurous twentysomething, said, “All the elements are in place for SEAT to become a major force in the UK fleet sector and so I am very pleased to be joining SEAT at this exciting time for the Brand.”

His appointment follows a major expansion and restructuring of the SEAT Fleet and Business Sales operation, which has taken place over a period of months.

The new enlarged team now benefits from a Specialist Sales Manager dedicated to so-called ‘blue light’, taxi, chauffeur and conversion markets; a Key Account Manager who focuses on larger end user fleets operating 500+ vehicles; and a Fleet Aftersales Manager to help ensure the highest levels of care for business customers.
