ALD Automotive has launched a fully digital all employee car benefit scheme which enables HR and Reward and Benefits professionals to provide access to a car scheme to all their employees, even those with no existing car allowance.

ALDSelect can support organisations’ staff recruitment and retention efforts by providing employees access to new, safer and greener cars at competitive prices.  They can search, personalise, fund, manage and e-sign all documentation for their order entirely online – at the office or at home using a PC or Smartphone.

It operates in a completely different way to Salary Sacrifice.  ALD Automotive utilises manufacturer discounts and competitive finance to provide employees with a highly valued benefit but with no financial commitment or administrative requirements by the employer. A key benefit for employers is that the agreement is purely between the employee and ALD Automotive.

Employers are provided with a co-branded website along with marketing communication resources to promote the scheme to their employees.

Ian Turner, ALD Automotive’s Sales Director, said:  “By being one hundred percent online, ALDSelect puts employees in control of their new car purchase.  Obviously, if an employee would like to speak to a person about their order during their digital journey, we have a team of experts at the end of the phone.

“Using ALDSelect, they can search by make, model or budget and request quotes to suit their own specifications.  Employees deal direct with us, so there’s no administrative input required by the employer at all.”

An employee starts with an online search and quote; which are provided in real time, personalised to each driver and saved for comparison.  Employees also apply for credit via the website, select maintenance if they require it, and once they have chosen their car are given a quick credit decision.

After the vehicle has been ordered, employees are provided access to their Dashboard where they can track the progress of their order, e-sign their documents, pay and set up a direct debit, all online.

Turner added:  “Cars regularly top lists of the most desired employee benefit, and HR professionals cite recruitment and retention amongst their top priorities.  ALDSelect is therefore an exciting digital addition to any employer’s benefits programme.”
