Situations needing flexible mini-lease

  • Vehicle provision for new staff during probationary period
  • A new business win and employees requiring immediate vehicle support
  • Employees without a company car requiring a vehicle
  • Employees requiring a vehicle while on secondment to a UK-based business from sister companies elsewhere
  • Seasonal demands, such as temporary sales staff to launch new products and manage regional or national product promotions
  • Companies undergoing change – perhaps as a result of a takeover or due to a major fleet review – with a hold on new vehicle orders
  • As a stop-gap measure for employees between the disposal of one company car and delivery of the next.

THE increasing demand for vehicle flexibility at a competitive rate has resulted in Activa Contracts launching Rental Plus flexible short-term leasing.

The fast-growing vehicle leasing and fleet management company has developed Rental Plus to enable fleets to hire cars and vans for 84 days or more and return them at any time without penalty.

The flexible mini-lease programme has been developed and launched to meet customer vehicle demand for a wide range of immediate requirements coupled with changing employment conditions and tightening duty of care legislation.
Activa Contracts, the Milton Keynes-based division of Arnold Clark Finance, can source vehicles to meet customer requirements through Rental Plus with seven days’ notice.

Sales director Lisa Temperton said: “Through Rental Plus, Activa Contracts is able to tailor a vehicle solution at a moment’s notice to meet individual customer needs.

“Rental Plus bridges the gap between traditional daily rental and leasing delivering vehicle hire flexibility at competitive rental rates without fear of any penalty. Rental Plus provides a rapid mobility facility to meet an urgent requirement.”

Ms Temperton added: “Rental Plus could be used by employers to meet a wide range of job requirements and negates any need for employees to use their own cars on business which can prove to be an expensive alternative due to mileage reimbursement.
“Equally it is administratively inefficient, particularly from a duty of care viewpoint.”
