99 – New SEAT Exeo business saloon

Share

31 December 2008

For small businesses with an eye on value, then have a look at the new SEAT Exeo saloon.

Essentially, this is the previous generation Audi A4 – hardly a bad place to start – repurposed to give SEAT a sporting saloon in its line up.

With SEAT that usually means exceptional value for money and a pretty good driving experience. It also gives SEAT the opportunity to provide something for the small business area, something they are keen to support.

Speaking to Peter Wyhinny, head of SEAT, Peter told me business buyers would be quick to spot the value in the new car. Peter’s driven the Exeo which has, according to Peter, “quality, luxury and sporting performance”.

You might recall, SEAT asked Business Car Manager if we could help find small businesses to test drive the new vehicle ahead of its launch (see blog Small business driving day).

I’ve not had a chance to drive the car myself yet. But knowing the old Audi A4, and SEAT’s good value/sporting equation, I reckon the two best models to look at for a small business are: the 2.0 TDI 143PS SE Exeo on a contract hire deal (low business car tax, good spec); or the 200PS turbo petrol model on a personal contract hire lease (exceptional value, but too expensive on business car tax to run through the business).
