New MINI Hampton Clubman special edition

This is the car – the fruit of our town, the MINI Clubman Hampton

Editor’s Blog: Special edition named after my home town Hampton

NOW this I like. A MINI named after my home town!

The MINI Hampton is the first out of the blocks in a line of new MINI special editions that are named after London boroughs, districts and landmarks.

And the first is the MINI Clubman Hampton. BMW says it’s named after Hampton Court.

If that’s right, they should call it the MINI Hampton Court. They have not. It’s the MINI Hampton, home of Business Car Manager HQ and Morton towers.

Admittedly Hampton Court, just down the road is a touch more famous than plain old Hampton, but I’ll take it as recognition of Hampton all the same…

So, with the name bits over, what is the MINI Clubman Hampton?

If the colour damson is not to your liking, then desist from reading more; if it’s in the OK box of your colour palette as a highlight, you’ll enjoy what’s to follow.

The MINI Clubman Hampton: well, it has a special colour all of its own – Reef Blue Metallic, with a black roof and rear door surrounds, which isn’t damson. But there is also exclusive black Lounge Leather seats which are edged in piping that is Damson Red. And there’s a seat tag with an ‘H’, which I suspect is in damson.

Damson is a bit of theme actually (so Hampton residents you had better like this colour)
