THE banks still don’t get it do they?

In an attempt to wheedle themselves back into favour as good guys there’s lots of earnest consulting going on, lots of services on offer…

But the reality of the days of a local bank manager that understood local small businesses has long gone.

Take this from Lloyds TSB commercial division, addressed to my landlord Peter Edney this morning. It started thus:

“Dear Mr 95 Station Road…”

Brilliant. Nothing like getting close up and personal then.
