Safety tubes fitted to dinghy trailer

Popped up to the workshops of TrukRax in Nuneaton last week. Needed to pick up our dinghy trailer which was having some proper safety tubing fitted – to take the spars for my son’s Topper racing dinghy.

Most other competitors use modified soil pipes to do this, but I was a little concerned about this. In an accident would they hold up?
