iPhone app and Land Rover

Guinness Premiership players – plus Land Rover – gather around iPhone for suitably cheesy photograph!

Land Rover launches a new Apple iPhone app

THIS is one application from the thousands on the Apple Store that I must get: the first Official Guinness Premiership iPhone app (their capitals, not mine!). It will make getting matchday scores so much easier (and will hopefully save me spilling my beer during the interval at the Stoop).

Regular readers will know I’m a Quins fan. So I can only imagine that Quins’ brilliant winger – and England and Lions star – Ugo Moyne just wasn’t available for the comment when required. Instead they got hold of Tom Rees, London Wasps captain and flanker, which will make my Wasps following chum Harvey Hughes from Honda Europe happy. Rees commented: “This is exactly what Premiership supporters need; it makes rugby accessible to all its followers which is great for the game.” Quite.

The iPhone app has been backed by Land Rover, the official vehicle of the Guinness Premiership. Land Rover says, reading from the official blurb, that it worked in partnership with Premier Rugby to identify a service that offered supporters the ultimate companion, supplying a multitude of information to their fingertips, wherever they are.

Marvellous stuff. It’s downloaded onto my iPhone already.
