Audi A6 values
WE WENT up to Edinburgh on Saturday. My son Matt is looking at universities, and Edinburgh is one of those in his crosshairs. Both Alison and I decided to accompany him – it seemed a good excuse because both of us like Edinburgh. I’ve not seen enough of Scotland’s capital city; Alison because she used to live in Carlisle in Cumbria and often came to Edinburgh for the shopping. A spot of re-acquaintance was called for.
It was a day of multimodal transport: car to Luton; easyJet flight to Edinburgh airport; bus to Edinburgh city centre; foot to the university. It was a long day. But a pleasant one and the sun made the city look fantastic, and the central university square appealing.
Returning home from Luton airport, though, with the sun now gone made me realise what I value so highly about the Audi A6. Especially when you are fatigued.
It’s the quietness of the interior, save for the change of tyre noise depending on the surface; the cosseting fall of the suspension as it copes with a dip in the motorway surface. It’s all very serene; very calm; very assured.
