221 – Updates at Compare

Share

12 June 2009

I caught up with Robert Wastell this morning at Hampton Open Air Swimming Pool.

As regular readers might recall (see blog 72) both Robert and I frequent this fabulous thirties lido. Robert was telling me he’d introduced some updates to his contract hire comparison site CompareContractHire.com after customer feedback.

There’s now a ‘Quick Quote’ that takes you straight to standard terms – rather than choosing them yourselves. It saves on ‘click time’. And the £Shopper facility provides a much broader budget search range.

I tried the Quick Quote on my Audi A4 143 SE. Standard terms are 10,000 miles with no maintenance. It certainly makes life quicker on the site. Three quotes came up for the Audi:

Actually, before you place a quote, check out the Audi website for the current offers. For the standard A4 2.0 TDI 143PS model there is now a complimentary SE Executive upgrade. Which is worth having. You get:

  • 17” 10-spoke alloy wheels
  • Mobile telephone preparation – low
  • Symphony radio
  • Cruise control
  • Three-zone climate control
  • Light and rain sensors

Which represents a saving of over £1600 on the recommended retail price. As ever, do some research, talk to people – car leasing brokers, contract hire companies, CompareContractHire.com and local dealers – to make sure you get the best deal on your next business car. And that it’s the right spec. After all, you don’t want three years of thinking: if only I’d ordered… Robert Wastell explains updates on CompareContractHire.com
